Termovet water-soluble powder is used as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic agent for poultry, pigs and young cattle in pathological conditions accompanied by inflammatory and pain symptoms, including respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases, metritis-mastitis-agalactia syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis , muscle and postoperative pain, heat stress.

Composition and form of release

TERMOVET water-soluble powder as an active ingredient in 1 g contains 750 mg of acetylsalicylic acid, and as auxiliary substances: sodium carbonate – 150 mg, potassium carbonate – 100 mg.

Pharmacological properties

Acetylsalicylic acid, which is part of the THERMOVET water-soluble powder, has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic action, prevents thrombus formation.

The mechanism of anti-inflammatory and analgesic action is based on a violation of the synthesis of bradykinin and prostaglandins, as well as the effect on pain receptors of the peripheral nervous system. The antipyretic effect is due to the effect on the production of endogenous pyrogen (interleukin 1) by leukocytes and increased heat transfer.

The antiaggregatory effect of acetylsalicylic acid is associated with blocking the metabolic processes of arachidonic acid, which activates the synthesis of prostacyclin, which inhibits platelet aggregation, and thereby, preventing thrombus formation. After oral administration of the drug TERMOVET, a water-soluble powder, acetylsalicylic acid is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and penetrates into most organs and tissues of the body. It is metabolized in the liver to form salicyluric acid, salicyl glucuronide and gentisic acid; excreted from the body mainly in the urine. TERMOVET water-soluble powder according to the degree of effect on the body belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in recommended doses it does not have a sensitizing and irritating effect on the skin,

Dosage regimen

The drug is used with water for drinking for 3-5 days at a dose / day:

– for birds: 0.07 g of the drug / kg of live weight, which corresponds to 50 mg of acetylsalicylic acid / kg of live weight, or 250-550 g of the drug per ton of water.

– pigs: 0.13 g of the drug / kg of live weight, which corresponds to 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid / kg of live weight, or 1300-2000 g of the drug per ton of water.

– for calves: 0.07 g of the drug / kg of body weight per day, which corresponds to 50 mg of acetylsalicylic acid / kg of live weight.

A fresh solution of the drug must be prepared daily. The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and cancellation have not been established.

Avoid skipping the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy. In case of missing one dose, the use of the drug is resumed in the same dosage and according to the same scheme.

Contraindications

Contraindication to use is increased individual sensitivity to salicylates and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The drug should not be used for replacement chickens less than 4 weeks before the start of egg-laying and for laying hens during the period of egg-laying. The use of the drug TERMOVET water-soluble powder is contraindicated in piglets under 1 month of age, old, pregnant and lactating animals, as well as animals with ulcerative and hemorrhagic lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, hepatic or renal failure, with impaired blood clotting, when using anticoagulants, and also 2 weeks before the planned operation. Do not use the drug in animals with severe dehydration, hypovolemia or hypotension, which require parenteral rehydration. Acetylsalicylic acid enhances the action of oral anticoagulants, analgesics, anesthetics and tranquilizers. Should not be used with other NSAIDs or GCS. It is allowed to use the drug TERMOVET water-soluble powder with various groups of antibiotics, except for aminoglycosides, as the toxicity to the kidneys increases.

In case of an overdose of the drug, intoxication may occur, manifested by symptoms such as nausea, anorexia, hemorrhagic diarrhea, prolapse; respiratory disorders: tachypnea, polypnoea; hematological disorders (which may appear after a few days): anemia, hematomas, epistaxis. In case of the listed symptoms, it is recommended to stop treatment.

Storage conditions and periods

Store TERMOVET water-soluble powder in the manufacturer’s closed packaging, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5 ° C to 25 ° C. The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions, is 4 years from the date of manufacture. The shelf life of the drug after the first opening of the package is 3 months. It is forbidden to use the medicinal product after the expiration date.

Dispose of unused medicinal product in accordance with the requirements of national legislation.
