Product Overview

Burvaquin is a buparvaquone‑based veterinary injection formulated to combat theileriosis, a protozoal disease caused by Theileria species such as T. parva and T. annulata. Theileriosis is a major threat to cattle health and productivity, leading to anemia, weakness, and high mortality if untreated. Burvaquin provides rapid, reliable treatment with near‑complete cure rates when administered during the early stages of infection.

Buparvaquone, the active ingredient, is a hydroxy‑naphthoquinone derivative that disrupts the parasite’s respiratory chain, effectively killing both macroschizonts and intra‑erythrocytic piroplasms. Compared to older drugs like parvaquone, buparvaquone is 20 times more active in vitro and 8 times more effective in vivo, making Burvaquin one of the most potent anti‑theilerial solutions available.
