Stanozolol reduces the release of a chemical called bradykinin, that is responsible for causing breaking and leakage of blood vessels. This damage to blood vessels leads to sudden accumulation of fluids below the skin causing swelling (edema) as well as redness. Stanozolol blocks the action of bradykinin and treats angioedema.

These may be early signs of liver problems.

Before taking this medicine

Do not take stanozolol without first talking to your doctor if you have

• prostate cancer;
• breast cancer; or
• a high level of calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia).

• heart or blood vessel disease;
• a heart attack a high level of cholesterol in the blood if you have taken an oral anticoagulant (blood thinner).
