Busol

Busol  ontains μg of active buserelin per ml of injection (equivalent to 4 μg per ml buserelin). It is preferable to inject it intramuscularly. However the intravenous or subcutaneous route may also be used.

Solution for injection for cattle, horses and rabbits.

Early cycle induction post partum.

Fertility disorders of ovarian origin, in particular follicular cysts with or without symptoms of nymphomania.

Improvement of conception rate in artificial insemination procedures, also after synchronisation of oestrus with a PGF2α analogue. Results may however vary depending on breeding conditions.

Induction of ovulation to synchronise ovulation more closely with mating.

Improvement of conception rate by reduction of early embryonic death (EED).

The dose per animal is:

Cattle

Fertility disorders of ovarian origin, in particular follicular cysts with or without symptoms of nymphomania: 5 ml. Treatment should be repeated in the absence of a corpus luteum after 10-14 days or if new cysts are observed.

Early cycle induction post partum: 5 ml. Treat between the 10^th and 14^th day post partum

Improvement of conception rate in artificial insemination procedures, also after synchronisation of oestrus with a PGF2α analogue (results may however vary depending on breeding conditions): 2.5 ml. Treat 11-14 days after insemination.

Mares

Induction of ovulation to synchronise ovulation more closely with mating: 10 ml. If ovulation has not occurred within 24 hours after treatment, then the injection should be repeated.

Improvement of conception rate: 10 ml. Treat between 8-12 days after service.

Rabbits

Improvement of conception rate: 0.2 ml at time of mating.

Induction of ovulation in post partum insemination: 0.2 ml. Administration may be given 24 hours post partum. Insemination must take place immediately.

Withdrawal Period: None.
